In June 2008 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Old Master Paintings and Drawings, which included the work Palmiers À Rome by Simon Denis. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Denis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Monticelli, Near Tivoli in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 185,411.73).

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Palmiers À Rome von Simon Denis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Denis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View Of Monticelli, Near Tivoli im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 185.411,73).
