Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,740.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simeon Stafford - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Playing Catch With Ruby, St. Michael'S Mount, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 4,250.00 (€ 5,951.10).
