A top price for Sima Zhong
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Birds by Sima Zhong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,062.39), 26% above the upper estimate. With this result, Birds is even the most expensive work of art by Sima Zhong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Sima Zhong
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds von Sima Zhong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.062,39) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Birds sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sima Zhong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
