The work Profilo di ragazza by Silvestro Lega was sold in the Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo auction at Il Ponte in November 2018. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,800.00 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Silvestro Lega achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Il sonno dell'Innocenza (1882 circa) in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 337,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Profilo di ragazza von Silvestro Lega wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.800,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Silvestro Lega erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Il sonno dell'Innocenza (1882 circa) im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 337.850,00.
