In April 2015 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Relaxing afternoon by Sigvard Marius Hansen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,522.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Sigvard Marius Hansen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2004 the work A Winter Morning was auctioned for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,454.51).
