This artwork by Sigrid Holmwood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2010. In the The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 auction, the work Trinity Court Pottery sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,779.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sigrid Holmwood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Church Boats, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,254.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sigrid Holmwood erzielte im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 wurde die Arbeit Trinity Court Pottery für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.779,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sigrid Holmwood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Church Boats beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.254,14) versteigert wurde.
