Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Kompositie 'Hek' by Siep van den Berg. The price achieved of EUR 1,680.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Siep van den Berg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 18,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kompositie 'Hek' von Siep van den Berg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.680,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Siep van den Berg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.000,00.
