Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition in blue and black by Siep van den Berg was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Siep van den Berg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 18,000.00.

Die Arbeit Composition in blue and black von Siep van den Berg wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Siep van den Berg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.000,00.
