Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Siep van den Berg could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work A Book, A Plant And A Fruitbowl On A Table changed hands for EUR 2,400.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Siep van den Berg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 18,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Siep van den Berg konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit A Book, A Plant And A Fruitbowl On A Table für EUR 2.400,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Siep van den Berg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.000,00.
