A top price for Siaw Tik Kwie - as previously expected
The work Mesjid Demak (Demak Great Mosque) by Siaw Tik Kwie was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,589.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mesjid Demak (Demak Great Mosque) is the most expensive artwork by Siaw Tik Kwie that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Mesjid Demak (Demak Great Mosque) von Siaw Tik Kwie kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.589,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
