Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shunbaisai Hokuei could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection auction, the work Koginu of Daisei as a Fan Seller changed hands for GBP 378.00 (€ 439.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shunbaisai Hokuei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A double okubi-e portrait of two actors in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,325.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shunbaisai Hokuei konnte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection wechselte die Arbeit Koginu of Daisei as a Fan Seller für GBP 378,00 (€ 439,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shunbaisai Hokuei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A double okubi-e portrait of two actors im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.325,79).
