Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orchestra 1 by Shobha Broota was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 3,890.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shobha Broota - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,358.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orchestra 1 von Shobha Broota wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 3.890,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shobha Broota mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.358,51) versteigert wurde.
