Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (from Rapture) by Shirin Neshat for USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,321.94). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirin Neshat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 214,684.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (from Rapture) von Shirin Neshat für USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.321,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirin Neshat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passage im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 214.684,76).
