Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Boating by Shin Young Mi was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 118,750.00 (€ 9,776.27), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shin Young Mi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Mirror, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 427,500.00 (€ 37,371.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Boating von Shin Young Mi wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 9.776,27) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Shin Young Mi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In the Mirror beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 427.500,00 (€ 37.371,32) versteigert wurde.
