Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art, which included the work Satisfaction by Shimon Okshteyn. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,050.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shimon Okshteyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Birds of a feather flock together, which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,492.71).
