This artwork by Shi Xiangtuo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Chinese Paintingsonline only auction, the work Calligraphy In Seal Script sold for HKD 14,025.00 (€ 1,596.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shi Xiangtuo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Buddha in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 94,375.00 (€ 10,742.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shi Xiangtuo erzielte im April 2019 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintingsonline only wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script für HKD 14.025,00 (€ 1.596,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Xiangtuo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Buddha im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 94.375,00 (€ 10.742,62).
