Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman and Donkey, 1987 by Shi Hu was sold in the Chinese Paintings Online 20th century and Beyond! auction at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,072.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Hu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Autumn in April last year with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 335,154.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woman and Donkey, 1987 von Shi Hu wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online 20th century and Beyond! bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.072,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Hu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Autumn im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 335.154,98).
