Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shi Hu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Figure and Form: Modern Art Featuring Bridging Generations, Property from an Important Southeast Asian Private Museum auction, the work Native custom sold for HKD 478,800.00 (€ 53,237.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shi Hu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand Autumn in April last year with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 335,154.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shi Hu erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Figure and Form: Modern Art Featuring Bridging Generations, Property from an Important Southeast Asian Private Museum wurde die Arbeit Native custom für HKD 478.800,00 (€ 53.237,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Hu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Grand Autumn im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 335.154,98).
