The work Cat by Shi Hu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,054.71), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Hu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Autumn in April last year with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 335,154.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cat von Shi Hu wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.054,71) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Hu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Autumn im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 335.154,98).
