Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shi Dawei achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Relaxing sold for HKD 115,000.00 (€ 10,695.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shi Dawei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Joyous Gathering, which sold at auction in May 2009 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 36,528.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shi Dawei erzielte im April 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Relaxing für HKD 115.000,00 (€ 10.695,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shi Dawei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Joyous Gathering beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 36.528,39) versteigert wurde.
