A top price for Shi Dawei
The work A Joyous Gathering by Shi Dawei was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. It achieved a price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 36,528.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. With this result, A Joyous Gathering is even the most expensive work of art by Shi Dawei that we have observed at auctions so far.
