Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Legend of the Sand Dollar by Sherman Tipton Coleman for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,295.54). This price was achieved in the auction The L.D. "Brink" Brinkman Collection Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sherman Tipton Coleman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian and Turkey, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,337.38).

Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Legend of the Sand Dollar von Sherman Tipton Coleman für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.295,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The L.D. "Brink" Brinkman Collection Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sherman Tipton Coleman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indian and Turkey beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.337,38) versteigert wurde.
