Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Obey Face Collage, 2020 by Shepard Fairey for EUR 89.60. This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples Online at Bonhams in Brussels and was even below the estimate range of EUR 100.00 – 200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shepard Fairey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Obama Hope in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,800.00 (€ 515,840.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Obey Face Collage, 2020 von Shepard Fairey für EUR 89,60 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in Brüssel erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shepard Fairey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Obama Hope im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.800,00 (€ 515.840,99).
