A top price for Shen Maishi - as previously expected
The work Landscape by Shen Maishi was sold in the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,328.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Shen Maishi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Landscape von Shen Maishi wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.328,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Shen Maishi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
