Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Chinese Ceramics, Works of Art and Paintings, which included the work Landscape, 1981 by Shen Maishi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,321.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Shen Maishi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Landscape was auctioned for HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,328.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Chinese Ceramics, Works of Art and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape, 1981 von Shen Maishi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.321,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Shen Maishi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.328,70) versteigert.
