Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (From The Rumi In My Chalice Series) by Shahriar Ahmadi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,403.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shahriar Ahmadi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,792.72).
