This artwork by Shao Zhang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy - Shou sold for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,381.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shao Zhang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,754.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shao Zhang erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy - Shou für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.381,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shao Zhang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.754,47) versteigert wurde.
