This work without title by Shafic Abboud was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I auction at Christies in London in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 94,500.00 (€ 109,503.92), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Shafic Abboud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shafic Abboud wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part I bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 109.503,92) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
