Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Le Paris du Monde Arabe, which included the work Calligraphies by Shafic Abboud. The price achieved of EUR 10,240.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shafic Abboud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Le Paris du Monde Arabe durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphies von Shafic Abboud zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.240,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
