Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nuits A by Shafic Abboud was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 75,900.00 (€ 87,950.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Shafic Abboud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nuits A von Shafic Abboud wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 75.900,00 (€ 87.950,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
