Upper estimate price exceeded by 31 %.
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work L'Africaine by Shafic Abboud. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,484.56), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shafic Abboud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Africaine von Shafic Abboud zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.484,56) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
