Birds and Flowers, 1903
Two hanging scrolls, ink and color on paper, each inscribed by the artist, one signed Sha with a seal reading Shan cun suo zuo, the other signed Shanweng at age 73, with one seal of the artist reading Sha Shanweng.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Birds and Flowers, 1903 by Sha Fu for USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,379.25). This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sha Fu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures After Old Masters in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,604.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Birds and Flowers, 1903 von Sha Fu für USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.379,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sha Fu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures After Old Masters im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.604,37).
