Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work Graphics/Drinker by Seth Price. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,751.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seth Price achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cheap Wall in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 449,000.00 (€ 408,404.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Graphics/Drinker von Seth Price zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.751,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seth Price erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cheap Wall im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 449.000,00 (€ 408.404,58).
