Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art | Milan, which included the work Relief n. 337 by Sérgio de Camargo. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 411,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sérgio de Camargo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Relief No. 21/52), which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,591,209.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Relief n. 337 von Sérgio de Camargo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 411.800,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sérgio de Camargo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.591.209,76) versteigert wurde.
