Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Aphrodite at the well by Serge Marshennikov. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,180.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Serge Marshennikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harem Dreams in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,076.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aphrodite at the well von Serge Marshennikov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.180,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Serge Marshennikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harem Dreams im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.076,68).
