Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for the Great Centaur Fight by Sergei Volokhov was sold in the RebelliousRussian Non-conformist art from an Important European collection auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 510.00 (€ 562.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Volokhov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russia in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,980.82).
