This artwork by Serge Lemoyne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Rouge, Bleu, Route No 2 sold for CAD 36,000.00 (€ 25,848.08) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 20,000.00. This high result makes Rouge, Bleu, Route No 2 the most expensive artwork by Serge Lemoyne that we have observed at auctions so far.
