Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Pointe D'Étoile by Serge Lemoyne. The price achieved of CAD 20,400.00 (€ 15,242.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Other works by Serge Lemoyne have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2011 the work Rouge, Bleu, Route No 2 was auctioned for CAD 36,000.00 (€ 25,848.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pointe D'Étoile von Serge Lemoyne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 20.400,00 (€ 15.242,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Serge Lemoyne konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2011 die Arbeit Rouge, Bleu, Route No 2 für CAD 36.000,00 (€ 25.848,08) versteigert.
