Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Lathe Man, 2009 by Şerban Savu for USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,373.85). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Şerban Savu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ohne Titel (Cinema). in June this year with an auction result of EUR 17,160.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Lathe Man, 2009 von Şerban Savu für USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.373,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Şerban Savu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Cinema). im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.160,00.
