Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Silvered Bronze Portrait Bust Of Alexandre Scriabine (1872-1915) by Séraphin Soudbinine was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,938.00 (€ 3,814.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Séraphin Soudbinine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bust depicting a young woman with braided hair in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 308,750.00 (€ 348,940.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Silvered Bronze Portrait Bust Of Alexandre Scriabine (1872-1915) von Séraphin Soudbinine im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.938,00 (€ 3.814,23) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Séraphin Soudbinine erzielen.
