This artwork by Séraphin Soudbinine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2012. In the Important Russian Art auction, the work Sobinoff in the role of Romeo sold for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,975.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Séraphin Soudbinine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A bust depicting a young woman with braided hair in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 308,750.00 (€ 348,940.12).

In der Auktion Important Russian Art wurde die Arbeit Sobinoff in the role of Romeo für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 39.975,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Séraphin Soudbinine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A bust depicting a young woman with braided hair im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 308.750,00 (€ 348.940,12).
