In the Tradition Travel TransitionJapanese Art across the Centuries auction, the work Edo period (1615-1868), early 19th century changed hands for GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,095.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sengai Gibon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Famous moments in the lives of Zen monks in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 55,394.45).
