The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,630.86), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seif Wanly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March last year with an auction result of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 112,040.39).

Die Arbeit Daughters and Servants of Ennab 50 x 35 cm each von Seif Wanly wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.630,86) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seif Wanly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 112.040,39).
