Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Soldato A Cavallo by Sebastiano de Albertis was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in June 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Sebastiano de Albertis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alle corse in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,680.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Soldato A Cavallo von Sebastiano de Albertis im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.500,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sebastiano de Albertis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alle corse im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.680,00.
