Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In carrozzella (caricatura della nobiltà milanese), 1862 by Sebastiano de Albertis was auctioned at Christies in Rome in May 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 744.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastiano de Albertis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alle corse in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,680.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In carrozzella (caricatura della nobiltà milanese), 1862 von Sebastiano de Albertis im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Rom versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 744,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastiano de Albertis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alle corse im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.680,00.
