Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A study for The Baptism of Christ by Sebastiano Conca was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 6,720.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastiano Conca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of George Parker, 2nd Earl of Macclesfield, PRS, three-quarter-length, standing in front of the Colosseum, right hand resting on a map of Italy, a statue of the Apollo Belvedere on a giltwood and marble table in December last year with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 426,725.18).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of George Parker, 2nd Earl of Macclesfield, PRS, three-quarter-length, standing in front of the Colosseum, right hand resting on a map of Italy, a statue of the Apollo Belvedere on a giltwood and marble table im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 426.725,18).
