Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Head Of Saint Paul by Sebastián de Llanos Valdés was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,644.06). Admittedly, works by Sebastián de Llanos Valdés have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Head Of Saint John The Baptist, On A Pewter Platter in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,181.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Head Of Saint Paul von Sebastián de Llanos Valdés im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.644,06) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sebastián de Llanos Valdés auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Head Of Saint John The Baptist, On A Pewter Platter im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 29.181,15).
