Auction result misses estimated price range

This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastián de Llanos Valdés - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Head Of Saint John The Baptist, On A Pewter Platter, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,181.15).
