Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Contemporary art, which included this untitled work by Sebastian Dacey. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 3,200.00 (€ 428.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastian Dacey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,182.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Contemporary art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sebastian Dacey zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 3.200,00 (€ 428,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Dacey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.182,09) versteigert wurde.
