In January 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Still life with fruits on a ledge by Sebastiaan Theodorus Voorn Boers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,920.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastiaan Theodorus Voorn Boers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with peaches and grapes on a ledge, which sold at auction in March 2000 for NLG 11,116.90 (€ 4,729.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with fruits on a ledge von Sebastiaan Theodorus Voorn Boers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.920,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sebastiaan Theodorus Voorn Boers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with peaches and grapes on a ledge beobachtet, die im März 2000 für NLG 11.116,90 (€ 4.729,39) versteigert wurde.
